HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A flood advisory has been canceled for Maui as heavy rains dissipated.
Meanwhile, Kauai, Oahu and Niihau remain under a flash flood watch through Thursday night.
A flash flood watch means it is possible for flooding conditions to quickly develop.
Forecasters say an upper level trough will slowly drop in through the islands from the northwest Wednesday into Thursday. It will bring an increased chance of rain, especially for windward areas.
The watch may be extended or upgraded depending on the severity of rainfall.
