HANALEI, KAUAI (HawaiiNewsNow) - The United States Postal Service will be expanding its available services on Tuesday for Hanalei residents affected by flooding earlier this month.
Starting Tuesday, the Princeville Post Office will be adding 1.5 hours of operation on weekdays, and two hours on Saturday. The Hanalei Post Office was temporarily closed last week due to the flooding caused by Kauai's historic rains.
The Kilauea Post Office will also be offering will-call mail pickup services for residents with Hanalei PO boxes from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Monday through Saturday.
While the Hanalei office is closed, residents with Hanalei PO Boxes are being asked to pick up their mail at the Kilauea Post Office.
It is not yet known when the Hanalei office will be reopened.
