HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The streak of Rainbow Warrior football players not being drafted into the NFL continues and zero Warriors were selected in the 2018 NFL Draft.
While the likes of Trayvon Henderson, Dejon Allen and Diocemy Saint Juste each had a decent chance of having their name called over the past three days, each of them have gone undrafted.
Having said that, their NFL dreams are far from over.
All three players impressed NFL scouts and teams with their film and pro day numbers and will likely be invited to training camp as undrafted free agents.
Update: Dejon Allen will sign with the Chicago Bears as an undrafted free agent. Henderson has also reached an agreement with the Cincinnati Bengals.
Another player from the islands, Hercules Mata'afa, was a shocking omission from this year's draft as well as he was projected to be either a Day 2 or Day 3 selection.
Update: Mata'afa has signed an undrafted free agent deal with the Minnesota Vikings.
The former Washington State standout was named the Polynesian College Football Player of the year for his performance at Washington State this past season.
