Police searching for man suspected of robbing American Savings Bank

WAIPAHU, OAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Honolulu police have launched an investigation after a bank robbery in Waipahu.

Police say a man walked in to the American Savings Bank at 94-060 Farrington Highway around 12:35 p.m. Thursday.

He handed the teller a note demanding money. Police say the note also stated he had a gun.

The teller complied and the man fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

He's described by police as five feet two inches to five feet four inches tall, and 130 to 140 pounds with a medium build. He's believed to be in his 30s.

He was last seen wearing a long white sleeve shirt, blue jeans, black and white bandana over his head.
