HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Science, Technology, Engineering and Math are some of the most challenging courses for students these days. The REC Foundation and VEX Robotics have found a way to help students find their passion for problem solving and understanding the way things work through competitive robotics. Through this program, STEM education is being turned into a hands-on sport that makes learning fun, while improving student interest and preparedness for the future workforce needs.
Tens of thousands of students from around the world vouch for this as they descend upon Louisville, Kentucky this week to compete at the 11th annual VEX Robotics World Championship. More than 25,000 participants from over 30 nations, including our area, are hoping they have what it takes to make it to the finals Saturday night and be crowned World Champions.
