She's done it again. Hawaii's Aulii Cravalho shines on national TV

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA (HawaiiNewsNow) - Whenever she hits the stage, it's never a disappointment.

Alongside her co-stars of the television show "Rise," Hawaii's own Aulii Cravalho pulled off another stunning performance on NBC's The Voice Tuesday night.

Cravalho's latest hit-performance started as a duet to Alessia Cara's song, "Scars To Your Beautiful." She took the spotlight as other cast members emerged to join in the number.

In "Rise", Cravalho plays the role of Lilette Suarez, a small-town theater fanatic with dreams of making it in the big city.

"I don't think there's a better time for theater for students to shine their light and show their voice on stage," Cravalho said.

The show is based on a true story that takes place in a typical American high school.

"There's a lot to relate to, but our show is about the characters and the students and teachers and really about the entire town galvanized by theater," she added.

The show debuted last month on KHNL with Cravalho taking on a lead role.

Other successful performances under her belt include "How Far I'll Go" on the Oscars stage in 2017, and a holiday tune at the Rockefeller Christmas Tree lighting ceremony.
