HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The opening of the Zipper lane will be delayed until 6 a.m. Tuesday, the state Transportation Department said.
That's 30 minutes later than normal.
Officials blamed the delay on a contractor in Aiea who remained on the freeway longer than scheduled.
The DOT is urging drivers to adjust their travel plans to allow for the issue.
"Do not stop on the freeway and wait for the Zipper lane to open," officials said.
