Electric cars save the environment because they're zero emissions vehicles. But they can also really save a lot of money too. Because on average, in Hawaii, electric vehicles cost less to operate than a vehicle that runs on gas, just $1,106 per year versus over $1,500 per year for a gas powered vehicle.
