HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The good news for Hawaii native Michelle Wie is that she made the cut to continue play into Day 3. The bad news is that she's falling behind the pack and has a lot of ground to make up over the next couple of days.
The 28-year-old fan favorite is currently tied for 31st heading into Day 3, 11 shots off Brooke Henderson for first place.
After a solid outing on Day 1, Wie was even par heading into today after dealing with the windy conditions at Ko Olina, but was unable to gain much ground. Wie finished her second round +1.
Wie will tee off Friday morning at 9:45 a.m. HT at Hole #1.
