HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Gas prices across the nation are the highest since 2015, and Hawaii drivers aren't being spared pain at the pump.

AAA said the statewide average is $3.55 a gallon for gas (the highest in the nation). That's up by nearly 50 cents from last year.

Honolulu's average is up 3 cents from just last week, currently at $3.39.

Hilo increased by 4 cents to $3.58.

And in Kahului, the average gas price is $3.95.
