HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - You're never too young to start training to be a kumu hula.
Just ask the parents of 1-year-old Jeaven, who can wield an ipu like a pro.
His parents dance for Ke Kai o Kahiki under the direction of Kumu Hula Laakea Perry. And little Jeaven's been going to practices with them since he was born.
Mom Nei-Moana Henriques-Maeva said Jeaven loves to sit with kumu and that he is infatuated with the ipu.
She recently posted a video of Jeaven with the ipu on Facebook and it's already taken off, garnering more than 40,000 views and 1,100 likes.
"On my heart," wrote one fan on Facebook. "Future kumu," wrote another.
