Four Hawaii students are competing in the International Science and Engineering Fair next month.They took the top three prizes at the state competition in March. they are here to tell us more about their projects -- here are Kalaheo Junior Samuel Cadotte, Kalaheo Junior Ben Weiss and Freshman (and sister) Kaitlynn Weiss, and Moanalua Senior Erin Kajihiro.
Here is how these students placed in statewide competition and their projects described this morning:
1st place Sam Cadotte- Using SONAR, LIDAR, and Computer Vision to Assist the Visually Impaired
2nd place Ben and Kaitlynn Weiss- Improving Facial Expression Recognition and Parkinson's Using Meditation
3rd place Erin Kajihiro- Development of Animal Component Free Media for the Cryopreservation of Drosophila S2 Cells
