Honolulu police searching for Waipahu bank robbery suspect

WAIPAHU, OAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Honolulu police are looking for a suspect in connection with a bank robbery in Waipahu on Tuesday.

At about 11:35 a.m. on April 10 a man went into the Central Pacific Bank on Pupukahi Street and handed a bank teller a note saying that he had a gun and he wanted money. The man then took an undisclosed amount of money from the teller and ran away from the bank on foot.

HPD described the man as 5-foot-7 and 160 pounds with short black hair, mustache and a black long sleeve shirt.

The suspect was wearing a black cap and long-sleeve shirt at the time of the incident.
