HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The 2018 LPGA LOTTE Championship tees off tomorrow morning as Hawaii's own Michelle Wie leads a marquee group with Cristie Kerr and Sei Young Kim.
Wie, Kerr and Kim tee off at 7:44 a.m. at Ko Olina Wednesday morning as Wie looks to win the LOTTE on her home soil for the first time since 2014.
The past four champions are all on the course this week: Cristie Kerr (2017), Minjee Lee (2016), Sei Young Kim (2015) and Michelle Wie (2014).
Wie has gone on to win twice more since including this year at the HSBC Women's World Championship while Kerr turned in a third-round 62 in Hawaii last year and won by three shots.
Kim won in 2015, but she is off to a slow start this year with one top 10 finish in five starts. She still ranks No. 19 in the world.
Wie, on the other hand, is off to a great start this year with one win and four top 25 finishes in six starts. Her putting has been particularly impressive this year, ranking 12th in putting average at 29.04.
