Tours of USS Arizona Memorial suspended due to strong winds

JOINT BASE PEARL HARBOR-HICKAM (HawaiiNewsNow) - Tours of the U.S.S. Arizona Memorial were suspended Tuesday morning because of strong winds that prevented tour boats from docking, according to the National Parks Service.

A post on the official Facebook page for the World War II Valor In The Pacific National Monument said boats would continue to do 'fly-by' passes of the memorial with ticketed passengers, but that the boats would not dock at the memorial.

The memorial's visitor center and other sites were scheduled to remain open.
