Rainbow Wahine volleyball to hold clinic, scrimmage during first-ever trip to Molokai

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The season might have ended a few months ago, but the Rainbow Wahine volleyball team is back at this Spring to get in shape for the upcoming season.

But on top of just preparing for this Fall, the team is also looking to give back to their local community by hosting a free clinic on Molokai this weekend.

The Wahine will head to Molokai to host a pair of clinics on Friday, April 13 with an intrasquad "Green vs. White" scrimmage on Saturday, April 14. Both days events will be held at the Molokai High School Gymnasium in Ho'olehua.

On Friday night, the 'Bows will welcome Molokai students grades 4-12 in two clinic sessions starting at 5:00 pm and the second at 7:00 pm.

Students must register at the Molokai Texaco station, Molokai High School and Molokai Gym.

Saturday's intrasquad scrimmage is slated to start at 12:00 pm but doors will open at 11:00 am. Fans will get an early glimpse of next year's team headlined by all-Big West players McKenna Granato and Norene Iosia including seniors from this past year's squad Savanah Kahakai, Kendra Koelsch.

Making a homecoming trip will be Clare-Marie Anderson who is from Kaunakakai, Molokai.

This trip will mark the first time that the Wahine have traveled to Molokai. There will be an autograph session to follow.
