HANA, MAUI (HawaiiNewsNow) - Wet and unstable weather conditions continue to drench Maui on Monday morning.

The flood advisory that was issued for east Maui has since expired, but the severe weather has caused major road and park closures.

Maui police said Iao Valley State Park is closed above Kepaniwai Park.

The heavy rains also caused problems for the island over the weekend, triggering a landslide that's currently blocking a portion of Hana Highway at Mile Marker 21, between Nahiku Road and Wailua Road.

The landslide is blocking one lane, and officials are alternating traffic as the cleanup continues.

A Flash Flood Watch is also in effect for the Big Island.

Remnant moisture from a front impacted most parts of the state, with increasing showers over the weekend.

Models show the most intense rain has been over parts of Maui county and Hawaii Island.
