HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Honolulu police have reopened several Downtown roads after conducting an investigation into the discovery of a suspicious package on Sunday morning near the intersection of Smith St. and King St.
Police officials sent out an emergency alert just after 8:30 a.m., saying roads had been closed to both pedestrians and vehicles.
"Vehicular and Pedestrian Traffic blocked from Nimitz Hwy to Hotel St and from Maunakea St to Nuuanu Ave," the advisory read.
Honolulu police authorities at the scene of the investigation say the package was discovered around 8 a.m. near the intersection of Smith St. and King St.
The scene was cleared around 9:15 a.m..
