Spring break hangover: Rainbow Warriors come out rusty after week off

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The Rainbow Warrior football team returned from Spring break to continue practice this morning, but it appeared that some players may have thought they were still on vacation, according to head coach Nick Rolovich.

"There was a little Spring break hangover," Rolovich said with a smile. "Especially offensively. Some mistakes, like I told the guys, they were very, very dialed in the first three days but there was some rust from Spring break."

Despite the team coming out of the gates a little lackadaisical, Rolovich still saw some good things from his players, particularly freshman quarterback Jeremy Moussa.

"Moussa has shown his arm is Division I talent," Rolovich said. "We're trying to quicken up some things in his drop and his arm but for the most part, he should still be in high school and he looks like he belongs so that's a good thing for him. He does have a nice arm and he's picking it up really quickly."

The 'Bows will continue spring practice throughout the month.

All practices are open to the public.
