The Rainbow Warrior baseball team suffered a blowout defeat at the hands of Pacific Monday night in a non-conference showdown at Klein Family Field by a score of 10-1.
Hawaii (16-10) dropped its 10th game of the season after Pacific (11-16) jumped out to an early 3-0 lead in the first inning, ending starter Dominic DeMiero’s night for the ‘Bows in the second inning.
In the fifth inning, Tigers pinch hitter Bradley Jekich put the game away with a two-run double, quickly followed by a two-run homer by James Free II. Tarantino and Hayes combined for three more scores in the seven-run sixth inning for the final 10-1 margin.
The seven-game road trip continues on Friday with a three-game series at UC Davis' Dobbins Baseball Complex.
