HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The Final Four is set, brackets have been busted and the anticipation for another round of the 2018 NCAA Tournament continues to grow.
On one side of the bracket, the No. 3 Michigan Wolverines take on the Cinderella story of the tournament (sorry, University of Maryland, Baltimore County), No. 11 Loyola-Chicago.
While Sister Jean has made a significant influence off the court for the Ramblers, none of that matters at this point of the tournament. A win, and you're into the national championship game. A loss, and your place in history ends with a Final Four banner hanging in your respective school's rafters.
Battling for the right to take on the winner of Michigan vs. Loyola-Chicago are No. 1 Kansas and No. 1 Villanova.
For all the chaos, upsets and buzzer-beaters we've seen over the past two weeks, the only moment of anxiety for either team came in the Elite 8 when Kansas came back to defeat the No. 2 Duke Blue Devils in overtime to advance to the next round.
But besides that, everything has gone quite smoothly for the Jayhawks and Wildcats.
Picking a winner of Kansas vs. Villanova is a bit of a crapshoot as one could argue for either team to beat the other since they're so equally matched. But much of the talk coming into this weekend's Final Four showdown revolves around Michigan and Loyola-Chicago, as the Ramblers are just the fourth double-digit seed to make the Final Four.
With a win over the Wolverines, the Ramblers could be the double-digit seed ever to play in a national title game. Wouldn't that be a sight to see Sister Jean (with assistance) cutting down a piece of the net?
There is a lot of uncertainty surrounding this year's Final Four, but one things that is guaranteed is chaos. And a lot of it.
