HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - After dropping the first two games of their four-game series against Seton Hall, the Rainbow Warrior baseball team ended up splitting the series against the Pirates after winning Monday night's matchup, 3-2.
Hawaii (14-8) was able to find its swing at the right time against Seton Hall (9-11-1) to improve to 14 wins on the season heading into conference play.
Logan Pouelsen was the difference maker for the 'Bows on the mound, carrying Hawaii through the eighth with two hits and two strikeouts, while closer Dylan Thomas fanned a pair of Pirates to earn his sixth save on the season.
Next up for the Warriors will be a trip to the mainland for the Big West Conference opener against UC Irvine on Thursday. The game will be broadcast on WatchESPN.
