HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Some of Hawaii's top cooks came together Saturday for the 12th annual Great Chefs event to raise funds for the Hawaii Foodbank.
The fundraiser was held Saturday afternoon at the Hawaii Foodbank's warehouse in Mapunapuna.
There were over 30 food vendors at the event. Chefs who participated represented restaurants like M.A.C. 24/7, 53 By The Sea, The Pig & the Lady, Mariposas at Neiman Marcus, and many more.
"The Hawaii Foodbank is thrilled to have such renowned chefs donating their time and talent to help generate funds for our annual Great Chefs® Fight Hunger culinary event," said Laura Kay Rand, Vice President and Chief Impact Officer of Hawaii Foodbank.
Proceeds from the event will help to continue the food bank's effort to feed more than 287,000 island residents.
There was also a silent auction and entertainment by Fresh Preps, Jeff Says No and Henry Kapono.
