The islands will slowly start drying out Sunday, but there's still a chance of scattered showers because of lingering instability into Monday. Longer term, the trade winds may be taking an extended break as low pressure forms to the north of the state, bringing light southerly winds with afternoon clouds for much of the coming week.
At the beach, the northeast swell is slowly declining, with small waves west and south. A small northwest boost is expected Monday, but no significant swells are expected until next weekend, when a near-advisory northwest swell is possible.
