FLORIDA (HawaiiNewsNow) - Hawaii native Logan Yoon picked up his 11th victory inside the ring since turning professional last June after an impressive amateur career.
The 19-year-old welterweight won the NABO Super Lightweight title, defeating Mexican boxer and former two-time world champion Juan Carlos Salgado (27-7-1, 16 KOs) in a unanimous decision victory last night in Florida.
Yoon (11-0, 10 KOs) was able control the fight with superior footwork and balance, making life difficult for Salgado to close in. Yoon won convincingly on the scorecards, 98-91, 97-92, 100-89 and picked up a knockdown in the ninth round.
Yoon will look to keep his undefeated start alive as he continues to stay active on the boxing scene.
