HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Could there be a season nine for Hawaii Five-0 with the show's star Alex O'Loughlin?
After a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, that could be a strong possibility.
The 41-year-old actor has previously said that he would turn in McGarrett's gun and badge once his contract ended with the end of season eight.
But in a new interview with Entertainment Weekly, O'Loughlin is quoted as saying, "I'm more open to continuing on than I was when we spoke a couple years ago."
When he originally indicated not returning to the hit CBS series, he was suffering from a spinal injury.
Now that he's better, he said, "Hopefully we can make a deal."
In the meantime, O'Loughlin is trying his hand at directing.
He reportedly directed the episode that airs March 30th. Jimmy Buffett guest stars on that episode.
