MAUI (HawaiiNewsNow) - The man suspected in the Maui stabbing at Queen Kaahumanu Center over the weekend will have to undergo a psychiatric review.

Kumulipo Sylva is accused of stabbing a 35-year-old Eduardo Alejandro Cerezo in the bathroom outside of Macy's men's department on Sunday.

Court documents say Sylva killed Cerezo thinking he "was a demon," and he was sent to end him.

The stabbing followed a brief dispute on a public bus, according to officials.

The psychiatric review will take place before the courts can proceed with the case.

Slyva is being held without bail on suspicion of second degree murder.
