HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - For the first time since his lung cancer diagnosis in February, the popular musician Willie K will be gracing the stage at Blue Note Hawaii on March 27.
The local singer is accustomed to playing to sold-out concerts in the jazz club at the Outrigger Waikiki.
He won't be able to perform on April 24 with fellow-musician Makana as previously scheduled. Makana instead will be holding a benefit concert with Lopaka Colon where Blue Note Hawaii will be donating 100 percent of its ticket sales to the Willie K cancer fund.
Tickets for Willie K's show are $45 for table and booth seating and $30 for a bar seat with shows at 6:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. with doors opening at 5 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. respectively.
The benefit show, where Makana will be performing on April 24th, will be at 6:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. with doors opening at 5 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. respectively.
For more information on either show, fans can go to Blue Note Hawaii's website.
The venue is known for hosting local artists across genres.
