Police arrest 2 in gambling raid in Kapahulu

KAPAHULU, OAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Honolulu police arrested two women in a raid at an alleged gambling operation near the Ala Wai Golf Course on Thursday.

It happened around 6:15 p.m.

Police blocked the intersection of Kapahulu and Kamuela avenues as they were seen hauling away gambling machines.

Officers arrested 40-year-old Loimeta Potoae and 31-year-old Solota Puaauli on suspicion of promoting gambling.

It's not clear how much equipment was seized in the bust.
