NORTHRIDGE, CALIFORNIA (HawaiiNewsNow) - Thanks to a career-high 19-point performance from Lahni Salanoa, the Rainbow Wahine basketball was able to snap a six-game road losing streak earlier today against CSUN, 56-54.
The Wahine (11-15, 4-9 BWC) were able to overcome an early nine-point deficit in the first half to win its 11th game on the season in a nail-biter against the Matadors (14-14, 7-7 BWC). In addition to Salanoa's 19 points, Hawaii also got some help from Sarah Toeaina's double-double of 14 points and 10 rebounds.
Salanoa and Toeaina were the only two players for Hawaii to score double digits while Tessa Boagni (14 points) and Channon Fluker (24 points) led the way for the Matadors in a hard-fought contest.
The 'Bows will now look to sweep this road trip with a win over Long Beach State this Saturday. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m., HT.
