Another very nice day is forecast for our Tuesday.
Cool temperatures with a dew point in the 50s as we get started. Sunshine will dominate most of the day, warming Honolulu to a max of 81 degrees. Sea breezes will develop after lunchtime and a few clouds/showers are expected over interior neighborhoods. But the stable atmosphere and limited moisture will not allow anything heavy to develop.
Another period of wet weather will begin as early as Wednesday evening and last through the weekend. Enjoy this great weather while we have it.
Surf is building along east shores and will be dangerous. Stay well back from the waves breaking on the rocky shorelines. North and west shores will see a swell tonight and Wednesday that will likely trigger an advisory there.
Waves today will be 6-8 feet east, 4-7 feet north, 2-4 feet west, 1-3 feet south.
High Surf Advisory for most east-facing shores.
High Wind Warning for the summits on the Island of Hawaii. SW winds will be 50-60 mph with gusts to 75 mph.
