Shark warning signs posted at Waimea Bay

WAIMEA BAY, OAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Shark warning signs have been posted at Waimea Bay on Monday morning.

The City and County of Honolulu sent out an alert saying an 8-foot shark showing non-aggressive behavior was spotted by Ocean Safety lifeguards at around 9:15 a.m.

It was seen approximately 50 yards offshore.

In addition to the signs, lifeguards will be out to warn the public about the shark sighting.
