HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - UC Davis came into the Stan Sheriff Center with a business-like attitude Saturday night as they cruised to a 68-56 victory over the Rainbow Wahine basketball team.
Led by forward Morgan Bertsch's 27-point outing, the Aggies (22-4, 12-1 BWC) were able to maintain its spot on top of the Big West Conference in first place while Hawaii (10-15, 3-9 BWC) dropped its ninth conference game of the season.
Bertsch shot an outstanding 13-of-20 from the field as the Aggies led by 22 points at the half, extending the lead to 25 points at one stage of the second quarter. Sarah Toeaina led the Wahine with 17 points, seven boards and five assists.
The Wahine will look to bounce back next Thursday on the road against CSUN. Tip-off is set 5 p.m. HT.
