Better weather for most islands today. Much of the Island of Hawaii will continue to be cloudy and/or wet, but the heaviest showers have moved off to the east.
Across the state, winds will be light and variable. The afternoon heat will create some sea breezes and interior neighborhoods could see some clouds and showers.
High in Honolulu today will be 81 degrees.
The fairly dry and stable weather will hold through most of Saturday. Conditions will then deteriorate with an upper level low moving over the islands, drawing the wet weather back to us from the east. Trade wind weather may return at the end of next week.
Surf is moderate to small. Next large swell is expected out of the northwest Tuesday evening and should trigger an advisory.
Today's waves will be 5-7 feet north, 3-5 feet west, 2-4 feet east, 2 feet or less south.
Wind Advisory for summits on the Island of Hawaii. Winds will be 35-50 mph with gusts to 60 mph.
