WAIANAE, OAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Waianae High School officials sent a letter to parents after receiving information concerning a threat to the school Wednesday.
According to the school, the Honolulu Police Department was contacted immediately following the possible threat and HPD is currently undergoing an investigation concerning the matter.
"Out of an abundance of caution, we have put into place multiple preventative measures and some of them may have caused traffic problems for you," said the school in its letter to parents. "We apologize for the delays you may have experienced and are grateful that you put our students' safety first, also."
Waianae High School and HPD ask that anyone with information contact the Police Department.
