MAPUNAPUNA (HawaiiNewsNow) - Those in the Lagoon Drive area are set to get an update on rail construction in the area.
Officials from the Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation will be meeting with Honolulu City Council members Thursday to discuss construction in the Lagoon Drive area. Current projections have the entire $9 billion project slated to be up and running by 2025.
The meetings will run from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Hawaii Employer's Council in Mapunapuna. Those looking for more information can access HART's calendar site here.
The meeting with the City Council will be one of two public meetings to be held Thursday afternoon concerning rail work in the area.
According to a news release, it will be an opportunity for local business owners and residents to be heard and communicate with HART officials.
