PEARL CITY, OAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Roving lane closures are scheduled Tuesday night for both the westbound and eastbound directions of the H-1 Freeway, according to the state Department of Transportation.
The lane closures will happen between the H-1, H-2 merge to the Halawa interchange starting 10 p.m. Tuesday until 4 a.m. Wednesday.
The state said a survey vehicle must drive over the freeway multiple times to capture data in preparation for rehabilitation of the asphalt concrete on the H-1.
It's all part of the $63 million project that will also include widening the 10-foot shoulder to 24 feet.
Construction is scheduled to begin in April.
