Chilly morning temperatures had Hawaii folks stepping out in socks with rubber slippers Friday.
While the unusually cold temperatures didn't break any records, they did have people bundling up.
On Friday morning, Honolulu's temp dipped to 63 degrees, while Lanai City posted a frigid 57.
Kalaeloa and Hilo Airport were a close second for chilliest areas, with a cool 58 degrees.
Keep the hot cocoa and soda crackers handy, too — the lower-than-normal temps are expected to settle in for the next week.
According to the National Weather Service, the low in Honolulu on Saturday will be a nippy 65 degrees.
And well into the next week, lows will hover around 66 and 69 degrees.
On the neighbor islands, Lanai City will continue to see the chilliest temperatures, with lows projected to stay at 57 degrees through Saturday and hover between 59 and 60 degrees throughout the next week.
Hilo Airport is expected to see slightly warmer temperatures, with lows from 62-64 degrees through the weekend and next week.
Think warm thoughts, Hawaii. Spring is right around the corner.
