HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Sinks in both the men's and women's restrooms at Waialae Beach Park were reported destroyed by vandals on Friday.
A city parks spokesperson says the damage was first noticed around 8 a.m. Friday morning, when maintenance crews were arriving to clean the facility. Honolulu police have been notified and are investigating.
Bathroom facilities at the beach park will remain open thanks to maintenance crews who were able to isolate the water lines to the sinks. Water service to toilets has not been impacted by the vandalism.
The restrooms will remain open 24/7 unless closed for maintenance, the city says.
