TRAFFIC ALERT: Busy weekend at the Blaisdell expected to cause traffic, parking demand

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A lot is happening at the Neal Blaisdell Arena this weekend and with it, residents can expect a fair amount of traffic.

From Friday through Sunday, Hawaii's 3rd annual Cannabis Expo will be held at the Blaisdell Exhibition Hall, with presentations from state Sen. Will Espero and the Medical Cannabis Coalition of Hawaii, among others.

Meanwhile, Lauryn Hill will be performing at the Blaisdell on Friday night as part of a special Valentine's Day event that begins at 8 p.m., with doors opening at 7. In addition to normal parking, concert goers have the option of utilizing the VIP parking option.

The Hawaii Opera Theatre will also perform "The Daughter of the Regiment" at 7:30 on Friday night  in the concert hall. The performance will include a star-studded cast, including Grammy-winning soprano Audrey Luna.

Drivers are asked to be mindful of these events and make accommodations as necessary.
