Forecast: Hang on! Only one more day of unsettled weather

One more day of unsettled weather.

Your Wednesday will start mellow with fairly cool temperatures and mostly clear skies. As the day warms up, heavy showers could pop up. Thunderstorms are also possible.

Winds will be light and variable but could be strong around thunderstorms, should they develop.

High in Honolulu will be 79 degrees.

A weak cold front will cross the island chain west to east overnight. In its wake, cool and dry northerly winds will fill in.

The winds become trades by Friday and bring stable and mostly dry weather through most of Sunday.

A new, wet patch of weather is forecast for the first of next week.

Surf is mellow today with two large northwest swells coming.

The first on Thursday night will take us deep into advisory levels by Friday.

An even larger northwest is predicted for the first of next week.

Waves today will be 5-7 feet north, 3-5 feet west, 1-3 feet east, 2 feet or less south.
