The Rainbow Warrior football team has seen multiple players transfer out of Manoa since the end of 2017 season, but this year’s recruiting class is making up for the team’s losses.
And earlier Wednesday afternoon, Kapolei High School defensive standout Aaron Faumui announced his intention to sign for the Warriors.
Faumui was a force for the Hurricanes as a senior, racking up 14 sacks, 20 tackles for a loss and 22 pancake blocks this past season. He chose to attend the University of Hawaii over the likes of Florida, Oregon, Virginia, Wisconsin and Washington.
Kapolei head coach Darren Hernandez announced the news on Twitter.
