Weather conditions are quieting down to start the work week. We'll have trade winds, but they'll be overpowered by afternoon sea breezes that could increase clouds over some areas again Monday afternoon, but the atmosphere will be a lot more stable, so pop-up showers may be limited.
Longer term, looks like we'll be pretty soggy and voggy for much of the week. Winds will become light ahead of a cold front will reach the islands from the northwest late Tuesday, with the possibility of thunderstorms Wednesday. A second cold front is expected late Thursday into Friday, bringing with it more Kona winds and wet weather that could last well into the weekend. We'll keep you posted.
Surf will be quiet for the first half of the week, but there's still some head-high to overhead sets for the north shores. We're looking at the chance for higher surf Wednesday into the weekend, with heights close to warning levels for north and west shores.
