Shark warning signs posted at Haleiwa beach park

HALEIWA, OAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Shark warning signs were posted at Alii Beach Park in Haleiwa on Thursday after an aggressive shark was spotted in waters around 30 yards from shore.

Ocean Safety lifeguards are warning beachgoers to stay out of the water while the shark, estimated to be between 6 and 7 feet long, remains in the area.

The signs will stay up through the day.
