HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A "mechanical problem" forced a Hawaiian Airlines flight from Honolulu to Seattle to be diverted on Wednesday afternoon, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.
According to the tracking website FlightAware.com, flight HA 22 took off from the Daniel K. International Airport shortly after 2 p.m.
The plane returned to Honolulu after 5:30 p.m.
Hawaiian Airlines said passengers were fed and switched to another flight that departed Honolulu just before midnight. It arrived in Seattle at around 7:15 a.m.
