MAKENA, MAUI (HawaiiNewsNow) -

Maui waters have claimed the life of another visitor to Hawaii for the second time in one week.

Maui fire officials say a man from Texas was scuba diving at Oneuli Beach, commonly known as Black Sand Beach in Makena, when he ran into trouble in the water before 10 p.m.

Bystanders say the 57-year-old was found motionless on the ocean floor 30 yards out, in about 10 feet of water.

He was brought ashore where efforts to revive the man were unsuccessful. He died at the scene.

The man's name has not yet been released.

On Monday, a visitor from Canada died after collapsing in the water at Ulua Beach.
