HILO, BIG ISLAND (HawaiiNewsNow) - Parts of the Big Island are getting torrential rains, and the downpours aren't expected to let up anytime soon.
A Flood Advisory is in effect through 6 p.m. Tuesday.
At 2:36 p.m., radar showed heavy showered and isolated thunderstorms moving over saturated windward slopes of Hawaii Island.
The showers could produce rain rates of 1 to 2 inches.
Locations in the advisory include Hilo, Naalehu, Waipio Valley, Orchidlands Estate, Hawi and Hawaiian Paradise Park.
