It's been very wet for the Island of Hawaii overnight with numerous lightning strikes, mainly offshore. The wet weather will continue for the Big Island today and spread to Maui and eventually Oahu and Kauai over the next 24-36 hours.

Surf continues to be just big enough to maintain advisories for most shorelines. Today's waves will be 12-16 feet north, 8-12 feet west, 6-8 feet east, 2-4 feet south.
