HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The Board of Water Supply has restored water service for Moanalua Valley residents after a disruption Sunday.
Officials say a computer issue made the reservoirs go empty, prompting a request for residents to conserve water only for cooking, cleaning, and sanitary needs. The Board of Water Supply says residents may use water normally, but it encourages them to use water sparingly to help the reservoirs recover.
Board of Water Supply crews are also working to repair a water main break on Kawili Street in Waianae. Officials say the break was reported around 9:15 a.m. The break left 18 homes without water. Crews will work to repair the break through the evening. Traffic impact is limited to Kawili Street.
