HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The second round of the 2018 Sony Open was kind to Brian Harman, who finished with a -7 through 18 holes at the Waialae Country Club, extending his early lead on the field.
During today's round, Harman birdied three-straight holes and closed with an eagle on the par-5 ninth to close out his day, heading into this weekend's slate of action atop the leaderboard.
Currently, Harman is -13 through two rounds with a three stroke lead over Zach Johnson, John Peterson and Tom Hoge, who are each tied for second.
Defending champion Justin Thomas had a solid second round, but came on strong down the stretch with an eagle on the ninth after getting two-straight birdies. Thomas is now seven strokes off Harman.
